About me
As a digital communications manager, I coordinate, strategise and execute social media campaigns and rapid responses, organise email programs and facilitate content management with a team of creatives. I write, edit, graphically design, and oversee the production of video content. My experience illustrates a passion for storytelling on social issues, progressive politics and government policy. As a freelance writer I focus on social issues and digital culture, and my work has appeared on the BBC and published in The Atlantic, USA Today, Mic, TeenVogue, Seventeen magazine, HuffPost, Kernel magazine, Highbrow magazine and more.

  • Wellbeing Foundation Africa Mamacare Chatbot
Wellbeing Foundation Africa Mamacare ChatbotThe Wellbeing Foundation Africa improves health outcomes for women, infants and children in Nigeria. The organisation prides itself on programmes and advocacy work in Nigeria and around the world that allow every health worker and mother to have access to life altering advice. The organisation uses informal WhatsApp groups to pair pregnant women and new mothers with midwives and doctors. The WhatsApp Mamacare Chatbot was born out of a need to formalise the groups and market the critical offerin
  • Siobhan Benita for Mayor of London
Siobhan Benita for Mayor of LondonPeople love London. They identify strongly as Londoners, love its diversity and appreciate the job and business opportunities here. But they also recognise there are serious problems. Sadiq Khan has failed to tackle the city's biggest challenges and let major projects like Crossrail fall off-track. Siobhan Benita will be a kind, ambitious Mayor for London who will get things done. She is proud of the capital's diversity, and cares about the city's future as a lifelong Londoner. As a digital me
  • Brand Awareness Campaign: London Assembly
Brand Awareness Campaign: London AssemblyThe London Assembly embarked on a project to increase the profile of the body. I executed two methods to reach that goal: first, I implemented a digital media programme incorporating interactive reports, email, social and blog so Londoners could practically connect with the London Assembly, and in turn the London Assembly brand would gain earned media. Second: I procured a creative and media planning agency and oversaw a brand awareness campaign (the London Assembly’s largest investment in its
  • #NoToHeathrow
#NoToHeathrowHeathrow Airport is aiming to expand, and the London Assembly is opposed to the expansion because of its potential impact on the environment, significant increase in noise pollution around London, and the method in which Heathrow Airport consulted with Londoners about the decision.
  • More organ donors needed in BAME community
More organ donors needed in BAME communityReceiving a transplant from a donor with a similar ethnic background increases the chances of a transplant being successful. And not only are many people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities more likely to develop conditions that make them more likely to need an organ transplant — people from BAME backgrounds are waiting longer than white patients for organs. When it comes to lung transplants, white patients waited 261 days, and Asian patients waited 1,191. For urgent heart
  • Nominate a woman for one of London's historic Blue Plaques
Nominate a woman for one of London's historic Blue PlaquesLondon’s Blue Plaques are iconic. But they are deeply unrepresentative of London. The scheme honours Londoners who have made a positive contribution in their field, communities and wider society. But of the 943 plaques installed to date, only 132 commemorate women. But that’s not because women haven’t contributed to London’s rich history. The problem is: women only make up a third of the nominations received.

  • The Re-position and Re-launch of EasyFX, a prepaid multi-currency card
The Re-position and Re-launch of EasyFX, a prepaid multi-currency cardThe Brief: To transform EasyFX into a retail brand The Old EasyFX Brand: It was a dated brand with an inconsistent message, unclear product offering, disorganised and unmanaged digital presence. Key Challenges: A crowded marketplace with digital fintech disruptors such as Revolut and Transferwise making waves and key players like FairFX making landmark improvements to their digital offering. Not forgetting the competition from traditional FX players like the bureaus de changes, bank forex tellers and debit card withdrawals abroad. We also recognised the need to shift EasyFX from a more traditional institutional brand that operated on the periphery of the retail foreign exchange market, to creating a digital product that could hold its competitive ground against the innovative fintechs without isolating its existing customers. The working included: Business consulting and strategy Redesign of the brand, branding collateral, the website, the mobile app Updated the customer support protocol and included a digital element Digital marketing communications - taking the new brand to market
