Site 5 London is an outdoor venue created by the nightclub E1, and the promoter Lovejuice in East London. Site 5 was initiated as a response to covid regulations in 2020, allowing only outdoor venues to operate. The identity took inspiration from triangles displayed on the outside of shipping containers on site that were converted into the bar areas. This device is utilised throughout the brand to maintain a visual consistency. Angular shapes, informed by the triangle, are used across graphic assets to maintain brand continuity. A minimal monochrome colour palette was selected to allow the identity to work with the promotional material of external promoters who were hosting events at the space. A typeface with industrial qualities was selected for the logo to reinforce this aesthetic of the brand. A more functional typeface, Helvetica Neue, was paired with the identity for continuous texts to provide legibility.
