‘SKIN' explores the dynamism and fluidity of style and dress. The shoot adopts a ‘mix & match’ style, incorporating clashing patterns and textures aimed to emulate snakeskin. The shoot mixes designs and fabrics from Egyptian vendors from Cairo’s vibrant flee market, Wikalat Al Balah , vintage clothing store, S_old and international fashion brands operating in Cairo. The shoot aims to showcase creativity and art from North Africa; A region that is often underrepresented in the ‘Afro-futurist’ art movement.
