Sky Kids' UI

  • Aysha Taylor

For over 3 years, I've written or edited all of Sky Kids' UI copy. This has involved working on everything from straightforward requests like providing rail and collection names for the Sky Kids homepage, through to supporting on the launch of the new Sky Kids linear channel.

There was a lot of key information to communicate to our customers when launching the new channel, like:

1) The channel is free to all Sky Kids subscribers;
2) It's jam-packed with lots of fun new shows that kids will love;
3) Everything on the channel is kid-friendly, meaning parents and guardians can be worry-free when leaving their children in front of the telly;
4) It's on 24/7; and
5) It's totally ad-free!

We therefore built both a channel tile and a takeover rail to ensure we had space to include all of this important information without reducing the quality of our copy.
