Slimming World Rebrand

  • Sydney Moore
This brief was to chose a famous brand and redesign it in a way that innovates the brand. I chose Slimming World as I feel the brand is being lost against its competitors and looks dated and boring.

The box surrounding the logo is at an angle to reflect that Slimming World isn’t as strict with their eating plans as the majority of other diets. I chose to use and adapt the font Luengo due to the fact that the roundness of the type gives a friendly and approachable aesthetic, and the thin letter forms show a nice reference to losing weight. Removing the serifs makes it appear friendlier.

Slimming World customers would be given a booklet that will act as their diary. Currently this looks dated and doesn’t fit with anything else. To solve this I have redesigned parts of the booklet to show how the brand will work across different elements and how it brings it altogether.

Slimming World also provides an app that gives guidance between meetings. I have redesigned it and added a ‘My profile’ section, which your Consultant would update after every meeting, allowing you to keep track of your weight loss goals and achievements.

Presently, when an individual reaches a milestone of weight loss they are given a badly designed certificate. I have combined these ideas and when you receive a certificate it will automatically come up as a digital certificate in your profile area, giving you the option to save and print or post straight to social media websites. This also helps Slimming World control the quality and style of photos that are being posted onto their social media.
