This project was a third year collaboration project.
I worked with two of my friends, Alani Fadzil and Jena Kitley to create ‘Soled.’
The idea was to create a template that would allow people from third world countries to create their own shoes from local materials.
We chose Rwanda as our case study, and after thorough research, we found that tyres and burlap sacks were two materials they had in abundance; due to tyres from first world countries being sent over there, and burlap sacks were used to import and export their produce.
