Sony Playstation - Little Big Planet

With millions of levels and games to play, all created by the community, LittleBigPlanet is a gaming experience like no other. To coincide with the launch of LBP3 we helped Sony Computer Entertainment reimagine how the community could interact with the game.

We created an online hub for the community, focused around reflecting the rich characters and graphics from the game and creating a valuable tool that acted as an extension to the game itself.
Rather than a standalone website it’s a real second screen addition, allowing users to launch and jump between the site and the game – really encouraging users to discover, explore and contribute.
I lead the entire relationship with the client from inception through to winning the pitch, giving creative direction on all scamps, wireframes and UX as well as running the scoping requirement workshop. I also advised the client closely on best digital strategy path to take.
We worked with the internal teams at Sony, the game developers at Sumo and with the design agency in Sweden that create all the game and character graphics. Once we had defined the strategy our delivery was detailed user experience documentation, creative assets and style guides to allow Sony to build the site in-house.
