Sophie Anderson PreFall 2019

The CABA and MIA bags were created using hand techniques in raffia, over a metal frame. The manufacture process, and nature of the product I was creating was a brilliant challenge, allowing me to expand my skillset. I oversaw the creation of bag frames and the stitch process, employing traditional stitch techniques that acted functionally. Raffia was used to wrap the wire frame, and to create the constructed fabric shell of each bag.
