Soundscape workshops @ The Arnolfini, Bristol

I was asked to come in and teach workshops on creating soundscapes for art films as part of a project titled Now or Never at Arnolfini that 'worked with young people to amplify incredible ideas and project them into the world.' We focused on studied soundscapes, recording and vocal chants . We learnt about Alice Coltrane , Sound Art and recording techniques. In a second session we looked at soundtracks and environmental sounds of a new, future, dystopian Bristol for a film the group was making. They made looped beats and ambient music and recorded an imagined 'wild track' for their dystopias. Project managed by Kirtis Clarke
