Planning and delivering the flagship Sport Relief Games events at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (London), Old Trafford football stadium (Manchester) and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome/Tollcross Park (Glasgow). The events involved 20,000+ people taking on a run, cycle and/or swim challenge. The London event was the biggest of the three and involved 100s of staff, entertainers and VIPs supporting the events (and the big festival village activation area) taking place simultaneously across the large site. I was project assistant to the flagship run, cycle and swim event managers and helped setup and deliver the event including working with event logistics, venue, marketing, volunteer and sponsor partners, leading on a cross-team project to create a corporate event entry process, supporting event participants and responding to public enquiries, coordinating and administrating large Working Group meetings and procuring event materials. My on-site delivery role was to manage the Copper Box Arena venue which was acting as the Event Staff and Artist Hub for 500+ VIPs, celebrities, journalists, performers, BBC production teams, charity staff and volunteers. I made sure all areas were setup to each sub-teams requirements and sorted any issues as they arose on the day whilst also pitching in for each team where necessary and returning all cash proceeds to the charity offices at the end of the day.
