Stour Space Commune & Radical Art

“As guests of “Commune, Radical Art” Undergrowth helped to save the Stour space, a multi-functional venue relevant for Hackney WicK art community. We re-shaped the upper floor of the Stour Space, playing with children as grown-ups in our immersive workshop room, honouring River Lea & the canal! Land & Water.” – Undergrowth Collective (Check out more details on www.undergrowthcollective.com) Alice Trott & Andrea Aldibek – project managers (Woodland Studio) of the Story Tree at Stour Space x Commune Festival Inspired by the whomping willow, we built a cosy nest for children and adults to rest, spectate and participate in the workshops, performances and other daytime activities hosted by Commune Festival at Stour Space, Hackney Wick. It took us a few days to build from scratch and eventually the reinstallation of the tree was commissioned and bought for Moo & Goo for their storytelling workshop in August, 2019.
