The concept of Twin Towns and Sister Cities, conceived after the Second World War in 1947, intended to rebuild diplomatic relationships and reconcile citizens across Europe.
Ahead of the 2016 European Referendum and the most important vote in recent UK history, we traveled to and unofficially twinned the cities and parliaments of London (UK parliament) and Brussels (EU Parliament) and talked to citizens of both countries with the aim to re-kindle their relationship.
