The Aesop Experience collection was a response to a student self-negotiated brief. I chose the theme connection and opted to look at the use of aesthetic experience to engage a viewer after being inspired by the interactive artwork of Olafur Eliasson. I created six gift-kit sleeves to represent the absolutist, experimentalist, expressionist, minimalist, modernist and realist behaviours. Each sleeve contains an abstract pattern representative of the identified experience. The final look was created using colour hues, photographic imagery of bubbles and liquid acrylics along with a double exposure technique. As part of the project, I created a customized display based on bubbles for the Aesop Marylebone store connoting Aesop's intellectual philosophy on beauty, their attention to detail and their meticulous use of chemistry to refine the product quality.
