About me
Every person has the right to feel connected whether this is work, home, exploring new places, learning about new things or un-wrapping a themed package. Graphic design plays an important role as the interface between a person and an experience - the role of a designer is to create resonance at this interface. This insight comes from my career spanning 13 years. I started as an exploration geologist, recording the narratives captured within rocks. However, rocks are not the best company, so I switched. I now focus on improving the experiences of employees and people. Although I have a scientific background, I have a holistic communications offering with nine years of experience working in internal communications across two industries. I have the ability to craft communications and an understanding of how to manage complex organizational change. A few things to know about me: I wanted to be a volcanologist – a volcano expert – when I grew up but decided mineral deposits were more interesting I was a "Rock Chick" for the first part of my career I stayed in a Kenyan Luo mud-hut with an African Mumma I walked 47 km along the Great Wall of China to raise money for charity I completed Arctic survival training twice I logged the Sakatti deposit discovery hole which is a one in 1,000 chance I love open water swimming, even in winter! I named my dog Sigi, after Sigmund Freud but she's a canine "Rock Chick" Nature is my biggest source of inspiration

  • The Community Box
The Community BoxThe Community Box, poster and digital box were created as a response to a Monotype D&AD brief that had to celebrate a community. I chose to celebrate all communities and the power they have to help each other. The box was designed using an honesty principle where a user replaces an item in return for what they take. The concept has the potential to be used in a variety of community settings such as a church, village hall or school. Posters were designed to raise awareness about the box with the

Student project - Aesop, The Experience CollectionThe Aesop Experience collection was a response to a student self-negotiated brief. I chose the theme connection and opted to look at the use of aesthetic experience to engage a viewer after being inspired by the interactive artwork of Olafur Eliasson. I created six gift-kit sleeves to represent the absolutist, experimentalist, expressionist, minimalist, modernist and realist behaviours. Each sleeve contains an abstract pattern representative of the identified experience. The final look was cr
  • Future Fit
Future FitFor my final degree project, I chose to look at the Future of Work which has gained traction at the World Economic Forum (WEF) over the last six years. Most of the work is completed at the organizational level, which I found intriguing, as the greatest impact is on the individual. I wanted to help individuals navigate the change so they can thrive in the future workplace. My brief was to create a communication campaign, exhibition concept, and a ‘Future Fit’ kit for a mid-career level audience
