Sun shield project introduces a marriage between design and function. It’s aim is to give protection from the direct expose of harmful UW-A,B rays which comes through the earth damaged Ozone layer, causing premature skin aging and cancer. The collection is carfeully made out of tightly woven, light weight fabrics which can give protection from these rays. The colours red and blue can most effectively shield the skin, therefore shades of creamy blue and darker cherry are dominant among the colourpalette. The garments are loosely cut, slightly oversized in silhouettes to give the most amount of comfort in warm situations therefore transforming being under sun a better experience . The clothes meant to be transfromable with hidden zips and straps, in case more opening or more closure needed. Thus the focus was also on cultural awereness, as in some religions a certain percent of the women dont wear open clothes, this way there is an option to transform them if needed. The design of the garmets are inspired from a research of middle eastern traditional costumes and the deconstruction of every day garments. Almost every piece can be worn by both women and men, as 99% the collection (except the iila full body dress) meant to be unisex. The collecton first hand targets places where is an extreme tempreture, and more exposure to the sun than regular climate countries.
