This book is a celebration of the roles women have played in films over the years and the diversity of their personalities. There is analysis for the context of those characters in relation to women being represented as varied as women in the real world. The roles women have played in cinema over the years has been as varied and captivating as women are in the real world. It is time we remind ourselves of the characteristics women have represented and shown themselves to be capable of more than just being a wife or girlfriend. As with the words of Reese Witherspoon "We need to see things because we as human beings learn from art and what can you do if you never see it reflected?"
