The realised helmet is multi-functional; firstly it acts as a mountaineering helmet with an ergonomic fit. This fit was achieved through the use of personal 3D scan data from my own head. Secondly, the helmet features a lighting system, GPS, and a panoramic camera, that links to an online tailored platform. The final manufacture of the helmet was produced through 3D printing, and hands on prototyping (sewing, soldering, painting and finishing).
The online service provided by the brand is key to the branding strategy of the business. The service allows the brand to form a stronger relationship with the user, through online donation and social media interaction. Additionally, it provides a platform for users to find inspiration for their own mountaineering adventures, and an interactive space for users to encourage others to follow their dreams.
