Two ideas unite behind this design. Firstly, the lamp logo represents one of Italian architect's Ettore Sottsass' most famous works: ''Tahiti''. He designed postmodern furniture in the 80's and focused on colour, geometry and randomness to reinvent day to day objects to make them not just functional but also interesting and exciting. His vision goes along with the theme of the ''By Design'' salon: how the structural reconfiguration of big ideas can create an impact on our lives on every scale. Secondly, by extension of the most common metaphor for an idea - the lightbulb - the lamp becomes a redesigned big idea.
