Telstra wanted to revolutionise the way their customers connect with technology. Working with Tribal DDB, we used innovative, human-led store design to make choosing a new device more accessible. The result was a first for Australia. I created and provided content for a range of in-store digital experiences including: The Sandbox A touchscreen surface where customers could physically compare devices and focus on the features that mattered most to them. Features were explained in easy-to-understand language with tabs that allowed customers to access more detail if they wanted it. Connected life An area for customers to get hands-on, exploring how technology can enhance their day-to-day lives through short films (scripted by me) and demonstrations. Media Fountains I sourced and produced content for towering interactive displays highlighting movies, sport, and music available through Telstra’s media channels. Local information about gigs, cinema times and events in Sydney were also shared. The store won the International Design Award from the Retail Design Institute (New York) and the Service Design Award at the Sydney Design Awards.
