Temples

For a university project, we had to pick an inspirational album or a piece of music and respond to it visually. We were required to create a campaign consisting of album artwork (CD, vinyl, digital), poster, web presence and more. This was a collaborative project where we worked in groups of three.
Our group consisted of Stacey Thomas, Megan Allison-Welsh and myself. We looked at the indie/rock band ‘Temples’ focusing on their album titled ‘Sun Structures’. The project began by brainstorming ideas having listened to the music and we went with the vibes and tone the music was giving us. There was something that was quite upbeat and twangy and definitely very colourful. These were things we wanted to portray in our designs; we wanted to make our designs feel bold and bright just like their music.
