The Beauty of Caged Freedom

This project portrays the constrasting themes of beauty versus feeling trapped or caged, where women in society still to this day face numerous takes of oppression. Inspired by Hitchcock's The Birds, this collection aims to prove how together a force is stronger than singularly. With an aspiration to uplift, transform and bring power to women, the garment and sample collection feature a range of mixed media textile techniques, also combined with both digital and screen print techniques.
