Before I landed my first design job in 2018, I was working as a manager at a brewery bar in croydon. During this time I began to work with the owners/brewers closely. They enlisted me to work on their websites various signage pieces and a few new labels for the new brews alongside with the bar work. The previous brewery branding had a grudge aesthetic with heavy blacks and dark colors. I wanted to elevate this to be more on-trend with other breweries on the market. So in my spare time, I created a re-brand to propose to the owner of the company. using bright colors and patterns to drive the product design, as much current beer brand practice. For each beer, I needed to create: 1x bottle design, 1x cask label & 1x keg label. I ended up creating a new logo that features some of Croydon's landmarks and tell-tales to create a real feel for the area and a nod if you know the area yourself. This prompted me to create a custom font that I later developed to also be featured in the design of the product. This proposal was sadly rejected but still remains one of my personal favourite projects.
