I am a self- motivated and ambitious professional with skills, education and experience in design. I am now looking to further develop myself within my professional field. I am extremely hard working and conscientious. I am always keen to reflect and better my design work from piece to piece. I am currently working at Mash Media, a leading company in the M.I.C.E meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions field. Mash produces several publications, shows and conferences throughout the year. Most of the events are promoted through our publications in which I am tasked with creating print adverts to run for each issue. In my role as a junior designer, I regularly focus on ensuring all collateral created for events remains relevant and on-trend. I also have been re-branding many of the shows to ensure they are up to date. From working at the company I have learnt to work smart and effectively to hit short deadlines and maintain a constant work-flow on those with a longer time remit. A more recent innovation at Mash has been to adopt direct client work. On projects led by myself, I communicate directly with clients ensuring all work follows there brief and is delivered on time. Also, for the past six years, I have undertaken regular part-time freelance assignments. This includes successfully running a series of advertising and branding campaigns. One example is the design of event advertising for a community-based arts and theatre venue located in South London. Each poster has
a different identity depending on the genre such as; theatrical productions, music performances and cinema. Besides I have recently run a series of advertisements for The Cronx Bar at Boxpark Croydon, an independent craft brewery. This involved incorporating the established branding into new designs to broaden the appeal of the product. Other works include; posters for venues/events, logo’s and branding for emerging products, re-brands and branded print documents
Projects
- International Confex 2020I joined Mash Media in 2018 and instantly began working on International Confex for the 2019 show. This branding was created by the previous designer in my seat. This gave me a year of working and understanding the show for when the next year would come around and I could put my own spin on it. Prior to the show I was already creating drafts for a new refined look for the brand. When the show was complete in February I was ready to present a new look in april. The initial look didn't quite hit
- Koi 鯉 (UK DJ & PRODUCER)Branding for a friends DJ identity. Koi is a UK based DJ / producer with a primary focus on UK Garage & House. If you would like to check out his amazing music click here. The name Koi comes from a few friends coming together to get a tattoo to mark one of us getting through a really tough point in there life. To celebrate we all got variations of the same piece - a Koi fish. for the branding idea i wanted to combine japanese imagery & objects with the UK street scene. I eded up creating what I
- Exhibition News Supplier Awards 2019in 2019 with my time at Mash Media, working with the team created a new look for the EN Supplier Awards (previously known as the EN Elite Awards). The awards are an evening dedicated to congratulating esteemed suppliers in the exhibition industry. The event is hosted by the Mash owned publication, Exhibition news. This was also where we heavily advertised and promoted the event, on both the print and digital collateral. Several month prior to the December event, the director approached us with
- The Owl Pub & Grill BrandingIn 2014 I was commissioned to develop the look and feel of The Owl Pub as it changed hands. I ended up developing a bold & sleek new look, developing an emblem of such for the logo. The Owl is located in Camber Sands, Rye. It features a bed and breakfast and also an (AMAZING) restaurant. if you are ever in the area I highly recommend a visit.
- The Cronx BreweryBefore I landed my first design job in 2018, I was working as a manager at a brewery bar in croydon. During this time I began to work with the owners/brewers closely. They enlisted me to work on their websites various signage pieces and a few new labels for the new brews alongside with the bar work. The previous brewery branding had a grudge aesthetic with heavy blacks and dark colors. I wanted to elevate this to be more on-trend with other breweries on the market. So in my spare time, I create
- Exhibition News 30 Under 30The Exhibition News 30 Under 30 Awards are annual awards held by Mash Media to celebrate the young talent in the exhibition industry. In 2019 we (the design team) was approached to re-think how the brand looks and is advertised. As a team we came up with the idea to create a mixture of old and new, to depict the new talent shaking up a rather old industry. We depicted this by creating statues doing new millennial tasks - Such as taking a selfie or eating some notoriously hipster avocado on toas

Junior graphic designerMedia Mash Ltd
Kingston upon Thames, United KingdomFull Time
I am currently working at Mash Media a leading media agency within the events sector.
I have a wide ranging design remit with key responsibility for a portfolio of brands. At Mash we work as a small design team of three people within a medium sized multi-skilled company. I am a lead designer on all events, these are the largest productions that Mash Media direct and host. Confex, EPS & PA Show are all held at ExCel (previously Olympia London) during February. For each of these shows I am tasked with creating a wide range of collateral including; print adverts, flyers, social media assets, logo’s, signage, UI/UX, web banners, brand guidelines and more. At Mash I am constantly looking for new ways to improve and develop the company design base beyond its usual constituency. Recently,
I have instigated the introduction of company-wide brand guidelines prior to an event promotion. This includes outlining draft mock ups of all collateral that will be created to give the brand a unified look that will remain consistent throughout the campaign. I have also introduced new programs to the design team such as; cloud technology and mock up assisting programs. I am helping the team to use UI/UX programs such as Adobe XD.
