The Establishment - Penguin Books Competition

My entry for the 2019 Penguin Book competition. The rationale behind this design visually references the synopsis of the book itself, regarding people in power and those at the top, whilst reflecting my own views that those individuals are also taking orders from someone higher than them. The chain continues. This outcome is an illustrated realisation based on images captured using a scanner during the research stages of this project; I wanted the image to be quite haunting and unsettling with hidden messages.
