  • Roam Magazine & App
Roam Magazine & AppBased on a personal brief to find ways to encourage people to travel the world, connect with others and learn languages, I created Roam. The two main products of this are: a magazine with experience and advice columns, as well as articles highlighting work-friendly cafés and work spaces in a specific city, and an app that enables digital nomads to find accommodation, work spaces, social events and jobs.
  • BBC Doctor Who Book Cover
BBC Doctor Who Book CoverThis brief was given by a past-student of my course and currently working at the BBC. It entailed designing three Doctor Who book covers for ages ranging 5-8, 19-24 and 35+. Exploration and development of digital art and illustration enabled me to achieve these final three results using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Each outcome is suitable in its own way for its intended audience through use of colour, typography and art style. As well as exploring newer subjects mentioned in the most recen
  • The Establishment - Penguin Books Competition
The Establishment - Penguin Books CompetitionMy entry for the 2019 Penguin Book competition. The rationale behind this design visually references the synopsis of the book itself, regarding people in power and those at the top, whilst reflecting my own views that those individuals are also taking orders from someone higher than them. The chain continues. This outcome is an illustrated realisation based on images captured using a scanner during the research stages of this project; I wanted the image to be quite haunting and unsettling with

  • Something From Nothing
Something From NothingA very interesting project which began from choosing a random object from a charity shop, and evolving it into an outcome for our chosen charity. My object was a tiny cracked tagine pot and resulted in an outreach poster set highlighting the support network Cancer Research UK can provide. I took a personal approach to this and used a survivor family member as inspiration throughout this project. I am really pleased with this outcome as it illustrates how people can help take the pain away from a
  • I Don't Need Any Help
I Don't Need Any HelpThe brief for this project outlined creating a book based on a conversation; I wanted to create an illustrated book based on a character suffering from depression and anxiety and the daily conversations they have with them-self. Each turn of the page reveals more of the stages of their mental illness; the colour draining from them until they lose colour completely, the thoughts that take over and the depression visibly creeping in until the protagonist is entirely consumed. This work is very per

  • Marker Campaign
Marker CampaignAt the heart of this project is our gratitude to those who helped shape the region we have grown up in. With the support of Mr Townshend of MTP Productions, myself and two other designers worked collaboratively to develop a campaign that commemorates and celebrates the efforts of women in the Great War. This project took us down a route of discovery, speaking to local people and discovering sources of information that have unearthed the rich history East Anglia is proud of. The aim of the proje
  • Marker Children's Campaign
Marker Children's CampaignMarker is a campaign aimed at portraying the effects and impact of war on women in 1918, highlighting their efforts in the war and commemorating their stories. The campaign had to entice the viewer to get involved to create a community project. We extended our campaign to try and inspire a new generation to remember the efforts of women in the Second World War. Our identity was developed to include characters of women who worked in different roles during the era, making it more personal and eng
