'The Everlasting Tour' celebrates the way in which plastic has benefitted society, so we can begin to value it as a material. The tour explores how plastic has led to advances in architecture, medicine or even feminism. By appreciating its value, we change a societal perception that it needs to be thrown away. Instead, we can develop a system that wants to re-use and appropriately utilise it within our everyday life. We begin to alter the perception of this material that has been tainted through the media coverage on environmental impact. Visiting the 'Tate modern' we challenge the norms of objects that are valued in order to change deep-rooted beliefs surrounding plastic.
