Inspired whilst watching animal and nature documentaries with mytwo sons, I was inspired to find out more about the incredible roles of the females of the species within the animal kingdom (or should that be queendom?).

This is a passion project I have been working on in my spare time. I've researched and written about 50 different female animals and the amazing things thery do and have started work on the illustrations. I love how the research I've shared with my sons so far has sparked some interesting converstions about gender and equality and it would be great to do the same in other families too.
