ONLINE EDITORIAL FOR SCHON! MAGAZINE Set in the 19/20th century era of classical circus antiquity, the initial idea of the shoot was inspired by Bruce Davidson, an American photographer who captured a series of members of the circus. Being part of a circus back in the 19/20th century gave ‘neglected’ people a purpose, a family, they felt comfortable with the people who they were with.  In today’s society, many people such as ‘artists’ feel they don’t fit in at school etc, I know this feeling, I was one of them, until I went to Art school and found people with the same interests as myself. Each model portrayed in each image has their own identity: Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil, See no Evil, which will be emulated within the photographs again which represents the idea of society. Therefore, I am using the idea of a circus as a metaphor as no matter who we are, we can express ourselves how we want and when we want. This shoot is a homage to the idea of Self Identity.
