Basquiat: the Gold Griot Music was muse to Jean Michel Basquiat - in both his art and his life. Bebop and blues musicians featured heavily in his work. He was a bandleader, producer and DJ in the heyday of the downtown New York scene during the late 70's/early 80's. Created for the Barbican's Boom For Real exhibition and airing on Worldwide FM by resident host and DJ Leanne Wright.
