The 'Gorge' Project

  • Abi Morgan

The ‘Gorge’ Project is a project aimed to help my younger brother. Rhys struggles with his speech and language and has done for many years. As schools are shut at the moment I thought it would be a good time to find an interactive way in which he can improve his speech and language. I thought I could do this by creating a personalised word ‘snap’ game and a word tracing book where he can learn to write the words that he is learning. I have decided to name this project the ‘Gorge’ Project as this is a term Rhys uses a lot as a means to ‘banter’ with family members, therefore, I thought this would be a good way to get him engaged and since telling him about this project, he is obsessed with finding new ways he can turn his games into ‘gorge’ games.

Rhys' Thoughts on the 'Gorge' Project:

Rhys absolutley loves the thought of having his own word game called ‘gorge’. He loves it so much he’s started creating his own games calling them ‘gorge games'. He is even calling his homework ‘gorge homework’. We are both looking forward to getting them printed when all this blows over but for now ones printed from the printer will do!
