About me
Hi, my name is Abi Morgan. I am a Graphic Designer situated in Swansea, South Wales. I am currently completing my last year of BA (Hons) Graphic Design at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Swansea College of Art in which I have completely thrown myself into, however, I now feel prepared and eager to step into the real world of work, full of excitement and new ideas. I completely adore exploring different avenues regarding intense colours, solid typography and structured shapes as I believe these are the elements that make a piece of design satisfying to the eye. My primary objective for the future is to continue to admire what I do so I never need to 'work' another day in my life. All through my degree training, I have developed some expertise in numerous regions of graphic design, some of which incorporate; digital and print design, typography, packaging design, editorial, logo and brand development, web design, infographics, marketing design and book design. • Red, White & Black - Protest & Rebellion in Graphic Design
Red, White & Black - Protest & Rebellion in Graphic DesignMy brief was to create a visual outcome of my dissertation “Red, White & Black - Protest & Rebellion in Graphic Design”. I decided I wanted to do a project based on my dissertation as I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the artists who had used these colours to protest against change. Using red, white and black I wanted to create a impactful & visual newspaper that represented the artists and their work. The aim of these posters is to not only educate people on the artists that have made a
  • Packaging Project
Packaging ProjectTHIS PROJECT IS IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH THE COMPANY 'SUNPRIDE' This project was part of our 2019 Summer Brief. We were tasked to identify a product which we felt had a weak or inappropriate visual representation. I decided to choose Sunpride's juice drinks as I felt these were outdated. Although, this is how the company identifies themselves, I felt that I could make modernise their visual representation inline with their competitors, Tropicana or Rubicon. Therefore, I decided to recre
  • TV Infographic
TV InfographicThe brief was to create a printed infographic that will enlighten, entertain and educate the viewer about your given subject. This subject was picked randomly out of a box and it was our choice on the 'tone of voice’ for the infographic when considering the style. This infographic would aim to be a 10-minute read that would feature in the 'Metro' newspaper.
  • Red, White & Black Posters
Red, White & Black PostersThese posters were inspired directly from my dissertation "Red, White & Black - Protest & Rebellion in Graphic Design". I decided I wanted to do a project based on my dissertation as I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the artists who had used these colours to protest against change. Using red, white and black I have created these striking and abstract posters to represent the artists and their work. The aim of these posters is to not only educate people on the artists that have made a diff
  • The 'Gorge' Project
The 'Gorge' ProjectThe ‘Gorge’ Project is a project aimed to help my younger brother. Rhys struggles with his speech and language and has done for many years. As schools are shut at the moment I thought it would be a good time to find an interactive way in which he can improve his speech and language. I thought I could do this by creating a personalised word ‘snap’ game and a word tracing book where he can learn to write the words that he is learning. I have decided to name this project the ‘Gorge’ Project as
  • 'Gloom' Mental Health App
'Gloom' Mental Health App'Gloom' is an app for people who struggle with their intrusive or daily thoughts. The app will allow you to note down your thoughts and let you expand on those thoughts and how you're feeling. After going through a bad period of my life a couple of years ago, I could never find an app that would let you note down your thoughts and suggest ways you can turn those thoughts around. As well as that, most apps seem very generic so I wanted to create an app that would create a meaningful app for
