Myself alongside 6 others collaboratively worked together to recreate a textile upscaling expanding over a 35ft concrete wall. The upscaling was Lefkaritika Lace margarita patterns which took just over 2 weeks to complete, working through a 40degree heatwave. The centerpiece is a combination of art and artist, linking traditional Cypriot symbols with the Scottish saltire. The project aims to signify the importance of preserving and continuing traditional Cypriot craft alongside the lasting benefits culturally, economically and socially.
