Our objective was to engage & inspire multiple audiences & make The Greatest Showman a spectacular event release on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download - building on the momentum from the cinema release, our focus was on appealing to the fans and not the critics. The film was already a huge success featuring an incredible cast with multi-generational appeal, it had garnered very positive consumer reactions at the box office, we needed to convert the cinema-going audience as well as appealing to those who had not yet seen it. Our creative strategy was to celebrate the 'amazing in everything AND everyone'. We wanted all parts of our media campaign to feel spectacular, to be accessible and to focus on the uplifting and positive aspects of the film. We also made a point of highlighting the singalong capabilities that were going to be available on the home entertainment release, this was a key point of difference from the cinema campaign. Our campaign covered Out of Home, Organic Social, Paid Social, Online, Media partnerships (with the likes of Avon , TGI Fridays and Yamaha), Media Promotions (with Britain's Got Talent and Magic FM) and a wide-ranging AV campaign across mainstream broadcast TV as well as VOD / catch-up services.
