The Hackney Roaster

The Hackney Roaster is a small batch artisanal coffee roaster based in London. After an apprenticeship with a master roaster and the purchase of a vintage machine from the 1920s, my client was ready to bring fresh, roast coffee beans to East London. 'Miami meets Hackney' was the brief, ensuring the colourful identity would stand out amongst a crowded coffee market. As the business would cater to environmentally conscious clientele, I suggested that reusable aluminum tins would be sold to guarantee freshness and reduce waste.
