The Meridian Gate Tower, London

2nd year project. 1:100 scaled architectural model of The Meridian Gate Tower in London. Each floor is individually laser cut with different colours representing the type of floor within the building, surrounded by clear etched acrylic cladding. The base was created by producing a styrene version and using an alginate mould, casting it in concrete with a layer of cork to produce a clean finish to the cast. Each element represents real world materials of the building. Acrylic for glass, concrete for the foundation and the cork to represent the earth underneath the structure.
