The new £50 note for the Bank of England #ThinkScience

On 3 November 2018, The Bank of England launched their 'Think Science!' campaign, asking the people in the UK to nominate the scientist they would like to see on the polymer £50 note. With around 175,000 nominations, and more than 200,000 views on the video, Think Science! has been the most successful campaign that the Bank of England has ever produced. BBC, ITV, and SKYNews featured the video during the news and well-known scientists shared our content with their followers, demonstrating the effectiveness of creative communication. The challenge I was asked to create a video for the launch of the £50 initiative, asking people to nominate a scientist for the new £50 note. The idea The video features some of the most popular characters who have appeared on banknotes. As part of the campaign, they ask people to Think Science and nominate the scientist they want to see on the £50 note - excluding themselves from nomination. Role Animator, Video Editor

The campaign was promoted on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Snapchat, reaching hundreds of thousands of people.
During the first day, the video reached more than 130,000 people on Twitter alone and the call-out received more than 100,000 nominations during the first days.
The video was premiered at the Science Museum London at a private event
The BBC, ITV and SKY featured the video during their news.
