Lucy Hall and Lili Reavie Corker are proud to bring you The Sunlight Project, a five-day exhibition celebrating survivors of sexual assault. With work varying from music and poetry to photography and painting, we hope to inspire, educate and strengthen.
A different outlook
Thus far, it has been journalists and celebrities who have shaped the narrative surrounding sexual assault. We think this is wrong. The Sunlight Project will give survivors the chance to speak their own truth, to tell the story of assault and recovery.
We want to surpass a narrative that focuses on perpetrator and victim, and instead shine a light on the shadows that emerge for a survivor in the aftermath of an assault. We hope The Sunlight Project will 'comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable'.
