The Swallows Returned Earlier this Summer

The Swallows Returned Earlier this Summer is a collaborative project between the Mexican poet Ekiwah Adler-Belendez and the media artist Juan delGado based in London. This art project is a creative response to the uncertain times we are currently living. The two artists based in both sides of the Atlantic Ocean embarked at the beginning of the summer on a virtual journey exchanging images and poems. In their reflections, issues such as mobility, migration, disability and identity punctuate their artistic epistolary style collaboration, which is inspired by the Japanese poet Matsuo Bashō.
