Designing an environmentally-friendly birdhouse. Attractive and easily maintained, for humans and birds alike: the Two-Part Home is a catalyst for long-lasting bird—human friendships.
The Two-Part Home provides a safe and comfortable dwelling for its residents, as well as an attractive and environmentally-friendly addition to the landscape for the bird-watcher. As the name suggest, the Home has only two parts, both made entirely of cork. This makes the Home sustainable, weather-proof, and non-toxic.
The Two-Part Home is made entirely of 4mm thick cork sheet. Parts can be die-cut, lasercut or CNC cut.
The Two-Part home requires no tools for assembly. The parts are scalable for a variety of bird species. The cork material is light and can be neatly flat-packed for postage within any standard catalogue envelope, this makes packaging and shipping easy and affordable. When the two parts are assembled, they create a perfect-sized space for the bird resident to build their nest. The cork is soft and insulating, reducing risk of disease.
