The way things were (Sculpture & Photography)

  • Tanausu Herrera

Stone, Wood, rubber, paint In This series, Tanausu created various sculptures from found materials and assembled them in a way they could stand on their own without attaching them, in an attempt to highlight the fragility and impermanence of things, inspired by Zen Buddhism. These series are presented with a photograph of the original items behind the sculptures now painted black, again to highlight the impermanence of objects and reflecting on the ever-changing nature of forms.
