"There Used to be a Wall Here" - Documentary Photo project

The project involved tracking down the former staff of a disused 19th Century hotel in London, and photographing them in the same spaces they formerly inhabited.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ The subjects had not returned in two decades and, in the staged portraits, they reenact a life they once had in a place they once knew. Along with the portraits are photos of objects found within the space and the staff's own photographs from their time in there.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I am now pursuing this project with other disused spaces across London (Pools, train stations, shooting ranges...)
