Postcard City - Documentary Photo project funded by The Guardian + RPSMy latest project Postcard City explores mass tourism in Lisbon using fado - Lisbon’s urban folk music - as a central metaphor.⠀ ⠀ This project was funded via the Joan Wakelin Bursary (administered by the Guardian and the Royal Photographic Society). A selection of the images and my accompanying text can be found on the Guardian website here: https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2020/jul/17/lisbon-back-alley-fado-legends-photo-essay

I've sent the images to BLM LDN who are free to make use of them as they see fit. REMINDER: still no justice for Breonna Taylor.
  • "There Used to be a Wall Here" - Documentary Photo project
"There Used to be a Wall Here" - Documentary Photo projectThe project involved tracking down the former staff of a disused 19th Century hotel in London, and photographing them in the same spaces they formerly inhabited.⠀ ⠀ The subjects had not returned in two decades and, in the staged portraits, they reenact a life they once had in a place they once knew. Along with the portraits are photos of objects found within the space and the staff's own photographs from their time in there.⠀ ⠀ I am now pursuing this project with other disused spaces across
