"X" is a collective portrait of womanhood in Iceland in the context of ongoing trans and non-binary rights struggles. This was a self-assigned and self-funded project. A couple of the images were published in the Guardian in 2019 and the project was described as follows: "The photographer Henri Kisielewski travelled to Iceland to capture the moment when this momentous social change took place [an important new bill on trans and non-binary rights had been passed], and to offer an insight into the lives of those it would most affect. As the bill passed through parliament, he met and photographed various trans people, feminists and lawmakers – including Jakobsdóttir and the former president Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, the first democratically elected female president in history."
