This Angle Needs Another Book
A short film by Honestly Casual Projects about university boardroom through the pandemic.
I was aprouched by this collective with only the voice note recordings and the unfinished visuals. These voice recordings were done via phones mics in the car, on a train, in a busy high street or just at home. Many issues accured with background nosie especially when phones had built in gates. My first job was to tidy up the audio and creativley downgrade quality (mobile phone effect) if they were to problomatic. For the audio clean up I used the izotope RX, Waves, plug in allicne and the native abletonm plug ins, in which I edited this whole project in.
My next step was to go out and rtecord all the location sound for this piece, from room tones to out in the feilds recordings the blowing trees, or empty spaces. This was all recorded with a Zoom H5.
Once finished I then moved on to Foley, Sound Design, Atmospherics, Dialogue (breath sounds) and composed the whole piece. Once finshed I then mixed down the project accompanied by the directors to fit their taste.
Unfortunalty I have noticed that in the process of the upload or rendering of the video the audio is slightly out of sync with the visuals.
