In third year, we were given a documentary brief. Our subject of choice was allowed to be documented in any form such as a book, photographs or a film. I knew instantly I would be creating a film as it is another field I am really interested in working with. I’ve always had an interest in art direction for film as well as editing on Premiere Pro.
My documentary, titled This is Tim, tells the story of an illustrator living with Alzheimer’s in London. Through film, photography and interviews I created this short to showcase my grandfather, Timothy Jaques’ work as well as his day to day life. Creating this film was really personal for me which helped me become dedicated to the final piece.
