In 2017, festival acts playing in the UK were 74% male , 14% female and 12% mixed gender. The music industry poses a challenging environment for women in the UK, with 78% stating that they've experienced sexism. These photographs were part of a zine, which was accompanied by a short documentary film which met nine female artists from a wide variety of genres, from Rock to Rap, and from Soul to Soca. They share their thoughts and experiences of sexism in the music industry.
