Tom Misch releases ‘Geography’ featuring Goldlink + De La Soul [Feature/Album Review]

'The first time I encountered Tom Misch’s work was an interesting experience. In 2015 Jaden Smith dropped a loosie track on Soundcloud (via Willow Smith’s page), ‘Offering’ – an intriguing stream of consciousness that made me take him more seriously as an artist. Also, Jaden aside -there was something about the bluesy brass sample on the track that made me keep returning it. The label ‘(Prod. by Tom Misch)’ stuck with me, but I didn’t really investigate any further. Fast forward several months down the line and my Soundcloud surfing leads me to Loyle Carner (don’t ask me how, the internet is weird), I instantly fall in love with his ‘A Little Late EP’ and after taking a look on Spotify so I could add some tracks to some playlists again, I see the name Tom Misch; this time alongside Loyle Carner on the ‘Beat Tape 2’ track ‘Nightgowns’. Funnily enough, as much as I loved the ‘Offering’ beat I didn’t make the connection immediately, but when I finally did – I positively flew to Misch’s Soundcloud page.
