Tomorrow We Will Be Lighter Than Air: Part 1 (2019)

Tomorrow We Will Be Lighter Than Air: Part 1 is a site-specific performance loosely structured around the film 'Wings of Desire' (1987) by Wim Wenders, exploring the perpetual search for identity, ethereality and impossible worlds. Devised in collaboration with Danielle Donnally, Susan Huyett, Rane Jiang, Fanis Sakellariou, Violeta Valcheva, Mia Yang, Lei Zhang and Pengfei Zhu. Performed at Stiftung Reinbeckhallen in Berlin as the outcome from a residency in May 2019. I was a lead performer taking on the role of 'Creator E'. I created set design of multiple sets of staircases made from blocks of foam (1m x 30cm x 20 cm) covered in silver tape and assorted cassette tapes. I also took on the roles of dramaturg, photographer, co-writer of the main text 'The List', video editor and minute taker.
