I have plenty of regrets about my past which I can't change. The only thing I can do is work and keep moving forwards and that's really why I'm on Beam - to help me do that. For the last couple of years, I've been living in a hostel, rebuilding my life and growing in confidence after a period of personal difficulties.
Today, I've worked hard towards passing Level 1 and Level 2 exams. I've borrowed the money to pay for my Level 2 myself but without Beam would not be able to fund Level 3 which I need to become a fully qualified electrician. Why electrics you ask? Because it's really satisfying for me to get things like circuits working and resolving faults.
I'm just so eager to stand on my own two feet and be a part of the community. At the end of the day, that means I don't want to be a suck on resources, I want to be a resource. In particular, I have two sons and want to be the best provider and Dad I can be for them.
Tony's campaign has fully funded! A Beam employee is now supporting him on his journey through training and into work as an electrician.
