A 2nd Year individual speculative design for ‘Twelfth Night’.
A selection of costume designs: Olivia and Orsino’s courts have their own specific colour schemes and styles (corals and a whimsical, almost fairy-tale style for Olivia, involving lots of gauze and glitter, and a green military-style for Orsino, with strong, clean silhouettes and war-paint), and the ‘others’ (the characters who come to Illyria by sea from another world) use an other-worldly purple and sailor stripes.
Storyboard: using edited photographs taken of my model-box. This design was an exercise in using one space with very little actual physical change to the set, with most of the ‘scene changes’ being done by alterations in the lighting state or focusing the eye on certain areas or characters with spotlights.
